The Casa Rug Co. — Bespoke Process
Five considered steps. One extraordinary result. This is how a Casa Rug Co. commission comes to life.
The Conversation
Typically 60–90 minutes. In-studio or on-site.
Every commission begins with a dialogue. We listen — to your space, your vision, your constraints. Whether in our studio or on-site, this first meeting shapes everything that follows. We discuss dimensions, function, mood, and the story you want the rug to tell.
The Blueprint
2–4 weeks. Includes colour samples and scale drawings.
Our design team translates your brief into precise technical drawings and material specifications. Colour sampling, pile height, pattern scale, border treatment — every variable is resolved before a single thread is committed. You receive a full design presentation for approval.
The Making
6–16 weeks depending on technique and complexity.
Approved designs are handed to our master artisans. Depending on technique — hand tufted, hand loomed, or hand woven — production timelines vary. Each piece is crafted with the same uncompromising attention regardless of scale. Progress updates are shared at key milestones.
The Standard
Full inspection against approved specification.
Before leaving our atelier, every piece undergoes a rigorous quality review. Pile evenness, colour accuracy, dimensional precision, and finishing are all checked against the approved design specification. Only pieces that meet our exacting standard are released.
The Arrival
White-glove delivery. Installation support available.
Your rug is carefully rolled, wrapped, and shipped via specialist art logistics. For significant installations, our team can attend on-site to oversee placement. We provide full care and maintenance guidance to ensure your piece endures for generations.
Typical Commission Timeline
Most commissions are completed within 10–20 weeks from design approval.
